Hi, I'm Erica
Brohammer,
the Founder of
HMR Design.
I started HMR because I realized that in St. Louis small business, the biggest headache wasn't writing policies. It was making sure people actually learned them. And yes, my last name is Brohammer, which gives me the authority to stand behind our name: HMR is me, and HMR is Human Mastery Resources. Thanks for taking the time to learn the story behind the name and the mission. I look forward to bringing that same focus, energy, and playful dedication to transforming your company's onboarding resources.
The Reality Check
From the Broker Floor to L&D Management
My expertise didn't just happen in a classroom—it was built on the front lines of the logistics industry. Before I moved into management, I was in the trenches as a freight broker, learning exactly how fast-paced and high-stakes this business really is.
I took that ground-level experience with me to Sunset Transportation right here in St. Louis, where I spent 5 years as the Manager of Learning and Development. My job was to design, implement, and manage the training systems, handbooks, and application tutorials that turned new hires into productive, compliant team members. Those years in the industry gave me a rare, insider's view of what makes onboarding actually work (and why it often doesn't).
