Media Submission Standards

Screen Recordings:

  • Resolution: Must be recorded at 1080p (Full HD) minimum.

  • Cleanliness: Please close all unnecessary browser tabs, bookmarks bars, and personal notifications (Slack, Email, etc.) before recording.

  • Speed: Perform actions slowly. It is easier for HMR to speed up a video than to slow down a "rushed" mouse click.

Live Action / Webcam Video:

  • Lighting: Subject’s face must be well-lit from the front (avoid sitting with a bright window behind you).

  • Audio: Use a dedicated microphone or headset. Internal laptop microphones often create an "echo" that cannot be removed in editing.

  • Framing: Ensure the camera is at eye level and the background is professional and clutter-free.

Documentation (SOPs):

  • Format: Provided as editable Word/Google Docs. PDF-only SOPs that require manual re-typing may incur additional "Data Entry" fees.

  • Accuracy: Please ensure all step-by-step instructions have been "vetted" by a team member for accuracy before submission.

Note: Footage or documents that do not meet these standards may require "Rescue Editing," which is billed at $150/hour.
